Ram Promaster Tire/Box Carrier
Want to mount extra fuel or fresh water tanks on your Promaster van, or improve the departure angle? The Ram Promaster Tire/Box Carrier enables you to remove the spare tire from underneath your van and mount it on this tire carrier instead.
This easily-installed tire/box carrier mounts on almost any factory and aftermarket hitch, and can hold tires of various sizes and up to 80 pounds.
The tire/box carrier opens and shuts with ease, and still lets you open your Promaster rear door past the 90-degree lock. It also doesn't require any drilling through the rear door. You can also choose between mounting on the driver side or the passenger side (note that driver side mounting is easier, as passenger side mounting required that the factory tow hook be cut off).
Note: Most Promaster-based RVs typically come with a Class 3 hitch (often a Curt hitch). A Class 4 hitch will have a beefier mounting system with more bolts. You can send us some pictures of your rig when you order is you are unsure whether you have a Class 3 or 4 hitch.
Passenger side installation requires cutting of factory tow hook from frame. Relocation of propane connection or license plate might be required.
Driver side and passenger side carriers are sold separately.
Boxes and accessories are not included in standard swing arm price.
On factory rear bumpers with back-up sensors, the sensors will read the swing arms and will continually beep.
