When mounting this window in your van or camper:

If you can, cut the opening with a center-blade shear instead of a jigsaw. It leaves a less ragged opening, makes less debris and causes less hammering on the van's sheet metal.
Paint the cut edges of the new opening. Skipping this step can let moisture rust out the edges of the window mounting.
The window clamps onto the sheet metal body of the vehicle and does not need spacers. It cannot clamp onto anything thicker than 1/8 in.
Let the self-tapping screws bore their own hole. Pre-drilling with a 1/16 in. metal drill bit helps start them without risking damage to the window or screw.
Finish tightening the screws with a handheld screwdriver to avoid stripping out the hole.
