What's Included in the Cable Pack with each 5 kVA Power Hub?

48V A/C CABLE(sold separately)

The new 5 kVA Power Hub features a dedicated 48V output port. To use this with a 48V appliance, add the 48V cable in the menus above. This is recommended for rooftop air conditioners or other 48V appliances. Choose in menu above!

POWER DOCK(sold separately)

Your Kit Version selected includes a 5 kWh LFP Battery. Systems can expand up to 45 kWh when using an EcoFlow Power Dock. When combining 3x EcoFlow Power Docks with 9x EcoFlow 5 kWh Batteries. You can also expand up to 18 kWh when combining 3x EcoFlow Power Docks with 9x EcoFlow 2 kWh Batteries. The 5 kVA Battery Cable(1.5m) is recommended for joining Power Docks to othe 5kVA Hub. We recommend at least 10 kWh-15 kWh when powering air conditioners, heaters, lights, etc. for the ideal EcoFlow Power Kit experience.

Note: The OurKaravan Cabinet is compatible with 5 and 10 kWH systems. A 3rd battery port will still be available if you plan to expand beyond the OurKaravan Cabinet Kit.

Note: The Power Dock to Power Hub connector cable, 5 kVA Battery Cable(1.5m), is sold separately.

You can add up to 2x EcoFlow Power Link(s) to the 5 kVA (Gen 2) and 3.6 kVA (Gen 1) Power Kits in a single system. Communication cables between the the Power Hub, AC/DC Smart Distribution Panel, and Power Kit Console are included. Communication cables and sensors are not included with the Power Link.

OurKaravan recommends installing the EcoFlow new 30A/50A Distribution Panel (Gen 2) in a new location(see image above) when comparing to the EcoFlow Gen 1 - 30A Panel(see PDF below). Installers and end users are welcome to install in another location.

1. How is the 5 kVA Power Kit (Gen 2) different from the 3.6 kVA Power Kit (Gen1)?

The new 5 kVA Power Kit includes new components like the 5 kVA Power Hub that includes new features like the 48V Output Port, 3x EcoFlow LFP Battery ports, and 240V output when connected to 50A shore power, as well as a more powerful inverter (5000 kVA continuous output and 10000 kVA surge, compared to 3600W output and 7200W surge for the 3.6 kVA hub). The 5 kVA Power Kit also includes the new, larger 30/50A Smart AC/DC Distribution Panel and the ability to choose the 7-inch Power Kit Console or 10-inch PowerInsight display. The 3.6 kVA Power Kit (Gen1) was similar, but did not have 240V capabilities and did not offer a dedicated 48V output port. Please see the Specifications tab for more 5 kVA component details.

2. Can I combine 2 kWh and 5 kWh batteries?

Under review and testing at headquarters. Updates coming in October 2025.

3. What is the max output power allowed on an EcoFlow 5 kVA Power Kit?

The Power Hub AC and DC output specifications as stated in the user manual:

4. How much solar do I need to charge an EcoFlow 2 or 5 kWh Power Kit battery?

The 5 kVA Power Kit allows 13-60V 100A, 4000W max on Port 1 and 13-60V 30A, 1600W max on Ports 2/3. Depending on average consumption, mounting space, mounting location, the panel's rated power and whether the panels are wired in series or parallel, are all factors in making this decision. We cannot recommend any specific amount since all installations are different, so please decide accordingly based on your needs. The EcoFlow 5kVA AC Charge Cable (4.5m) received in a Power Kit or individual purchase may or may not have a pre-installed magnetic ring with some extended ground wire length wrapped 4-5x in a coil. This is recommended by EcoFlow for anti-interference purposes. Some cables will not have the coil pre-installed and included separately in the packaging. If you do receive it coiled and need to run the cable through conduit, it is okay to remove and then rewind as originally received. Below is a video link showing how to properly wind the ground wire around the ring.
