Previously, van owners had to guess or wait until the final weight of their build to order the right spring setup. The Opti-Rate Spring Pack eliminates that guesswork with an innovative, tunable design that adapts to your van’s evolving needs.

By extending the spring over 2" and pairing it with a longer shackle, Van Compass has created a more stable, progressive spring curve that significantly reduces the harshness typically associated with leaf spring suspensions. The longer spring and shackle combination improves overall ride quality by smoothing out bumps and delivering a more compliant driving experience.

The industry-first Adjustable Preload Spacer (APS) system allows you to easily fine-tune the spring’s behavior with just basic hand tools. The Opti-Rate spring consists of three components: a primary main spring, a 3-leaf secondary stage, and billet-machined APS with stackable Delrin glide pads. Depending on your van’s weight and your desired ride quality, you can adjust the preload engagement between the primary and secondary stages:

Softest Ride (Light Vans): No APS installed — spring operates in its softest configuration.

Medium Load (Mid-Weight Vans): APS installed with 1 Delrin glide pad for a firmer spring rate and slightly increased ride height.

Heavy Load (Fully Built Vans): APS installed with 2 Delrin glide pads for maximum spring rate and ride height.

Installation is simple — changing the preload requires only a floor jack, socket wrench, and mallet, and can be done without removing the springs from the van.

The Opti-Rate spring is designed to restore lost ride height without introducing excessive lift, making it fully compatible with lift blocks and rear geometry correction kits. It pairs perfectly with Van Compass 2" lift systems for those seeking increased ground clearance and a more aggressive stance.

NOTE: May be installed on a 2WD when equipped with a Striker lift kit. Expect 2.5-3.5" rear lift height depending on van weight and spring setting.
