It adds roof storage from the rear of the van to the back of the front doors, which keeps cargo behind the driver and passenger seats and reduces noise.
To pair with the rack, consider the Ford Transit Side Ladder for getting on and off the roof, or the Ford Transit Surf Pole for carrying surfboards, paddleboards and windsurfers. Surf poles need a pair of Surf Hooks for each board.
