- Durability & Impact Resistance, acrylic is 17x more resistant to impact than glass. Does not shatter!
Blind and screen are included with each window and come with a fine mesh insect screen and a blackout blind with a reflective exterior. The cover panel contains the retractable fine mesh insect screen on one side & a blackout blind with a reflective exterior on the other. These can be used independently, or together for varying combinations of privacy and ventilation. The blind also creates a second dead air space for maximum thermal efficiency in very cold conditions.
Tern Overland windows are designed to have excellent thermal insulation to keep the interior of your build comfortable in all seasons by helping regulate temperatures & minimize energy consumption.
Even with all these features, these windows weigh barely 60% of a similarly sized glass window. Lastly, some of these windows can even serve as an emergency exit.
The Arctic Tern Classic Window features a lighter tint with a classic domed exterior, while the Arctic Tern Flat window has a darker tint and features a contemporary flat exterior.
Both Classic & Flat Arctic Tern windows come complete with the blind & screen assembly.
Blind & Screen assemblies come in either a polar white or a sleek black finish.
These windows are warrantied by Tern Overland LLC for one year against defects in workmanship and materials. We have a complete in-house parts & service department.

Van windows are generally either bonded/glue-in or clamp-in. Bonded windows require urethane adhesive and primer unless a primerless adhesive is specified. Clamp-in windows typically do not require primer or adhesive. Both styles require an existing opening, so cargo vans without windows require the correct cutout before installation.
Do Campervan HQ van windows ship for free?
Most van windows do not ship free because large windows often require truck freight or special handling. When available, warehouse pickup can reduce or refund shipping costs. For large multi-item orders, contact Campervan HQ for an individual quote.
What should I check when a van window is delivered?
Inspect the window shipment before the delivery driver leaves. If there is damage, have the driver note it on the Bill of Lading and provide a signed copy. Without signed damage notation at delivery, Campervan HQ may not be able to make a shipping damage claim.
What is the return process for damaged or defective van windows?
For delivery damage, Campervan HQ needs a signed Bill of Lading showing the damage and photos of the damage. For a defective van window, Campervan HQ needs photos of the defect and will request a Return Authorization. In either case, re-package the window in the original box and tape the invoice number or return authorization number to the outside of the box.
