It mounts to the inside of the rear door on either the passenger or driver side, with no drilling, and gives you a way to climb up the back of the van. This listing covers Low / Medium Roof vans.
The ladder is offered as ladder only with standard rungs, or as a ladder with tire/box carrier, which adds two side-mounted folding steps at the bottom to go around the carrier. A bolt-on tire/box carrier moves the spare tire from under the van to the rear door, which improves departure angle or frees space for fuel, water or waste tanks. The carrier can also hold a storage box such as the Deluxe Storage Box (sold separately). Photos show a van with the ladder/carrier combo on the driver side and a separate stand-alone Ford Transit tire/box carrier on the passenger side; the stand-alone carrier is sold separately.
