KUS S5U-8 Water Level Sensor – 1.5" NPT (8" Probe)

KUS S5U-8 Water Level Sensor – 1.5" NPT (8" Probe) is a 8 in. probe, 1.5 in. NPT liquid-level sender for water, fuel, or diesel tanks. It outputs the American Standard 240-33Ω curve, which is what most US-market water and fuel gauges read, so it pairs with any 240-33Ω gauge without a signal converter. Typically ships in 5-7 business days.

It threads into any 1.5 in. NPT tank port; use a thread sealant rated for what is in the tank, then turn it until the leads point toward your wire run before snugging down — do not overtighten. Leave at least 1 in. between the tank bottom and the float collar (0.5 in. on stainless or aluminum tanks), and measure from the inside bottom of the tank to the top of the port before picking a probe length. Wiring is two-wire only, with no power feed needed: pink to ground, black to the sender terminal on your gauge.

Inside, a magnetic float slides along a chain of reed switches, so the float is the only moving part — there is no wiper arm to wear out or corrode. You'll need a gauge on the 240-33Ω curve to read it; most van builds do not have one until it's added, so confirm what your panel reads before ordering.
