MTI Industries Safe-T-Alert CO/LP Leak Detector (With Valve Controller)
If you have LP gas (propane) appliances in your RV, you need a leak detector. This MTI Industries Safe-T-Alert CO/LP Leak Detector monitors the air inside your RV for both carbon monoxide (CO) and propane (LP gas).
But here's the advantage of this detector: it not only monitors for leaks, but if a propane leak is detected, it can actually shut off the propane using its control valve. This detector comes with a shutoff kit, which includes a relay to control an electrically-operated valve.
This white detector runs on 12VDC and should be wired directly into your RV electrical system, so you don't need to worry about running out of batteries (though you should replace CO/LP detectors at least every 5 years). It's loud alarm warns you if excessive levels of carbon monoxide or propane are detected inside your RV.
Note: Always mount a propane detector at floor level. If your CO/LP detector has a test button, you should test it before every trip.
